our story

Darling Child Care+ began with the desire to find equitable work for experienced child caregivers while taking the leg work and stress out of the searching process for families and child care centres. Ensuring that our world is inclusive of all children and families has been the driving force behind the expansion of our services to encompass consulting.

With decades of experience in Early Childhood Education and Child Care, our team is uniquely qualified to meet the needs of families, child caregivers, child care centres, schools, nonprofits and enterprises in our community.

Robin Linton, Founder/Consultant [she/her]

Robin has over 20 years of experience in the child care industry, including:

Registered Early Childhood Educator
Lead Preschool Teacher at a Waldorf School
Camp Director for a school-age Day Camp
Nanny for all age groups
Travel Nanny
Music Appreciation and Guitar Teacher
Babysitter since age 11

Being a born-and-raised Torontonian with all of the above experiences [and more!], Robin is entrenched in the Family and Child Care communities of the city and loves to help make connections.

As a Registered Early Childhood Educator (George Brown College, 2017) with entrepreneurial experience, Robin is uniquely qualified to support families and child caregivers navigate this space. She is proud to be part of a community that is able to offer a vast variety of Early Childhood Education Consulting services, while advocating for the elevation of the Child Care Profession and the rights of all Children and their Families.

When she’s not working, you can find Robin enjoying the outdoors around Toronto or up at the cabin. She’s an enthusiastic plant-based cook, loves to “dance” and host, enjoys making music, and welcomed a child in the summer of 2022 with her lovely husband Graham.

Nita Punnett, Facilitator/Consultant

“I am so thrilled and honoured to be joining Darling Child Care+ as it continues to grow and flourish in the Toronto Childcare space. It is a dream come true to be able to combine my love of children with my passion for forming meaningful connections. I can’t wait to meet you!”

Born and raised in Toronto, Nita has over a decade of experience as a dedicated caregiver. Babysitting from the age of 11 when her younger sister was born, Nita has cared for many children over the years with ages ranging from infancy to preteen. She was also a live-in caregiver for a senior with vascular dementia for two years.

Lately, Nita has been working on the Customer Care team of a successful Toronto-based tech startup. She has a background in copywriting, marketing, and social media management.

Nita’s strengths include empathy, communication, patience, and the unique resilience that comes from being a Leafs fan. In her spare time, you can find her reading or experimenting in the kitchen with new recipes. Nita spends as much time as possible with her loved ones and welcomed a child in 2023 with her lovely partner Jordan.
